My experience with Landmark Holidays
In June we visited India for my niece's wedding and some travel. I used Lonely Planet guides to roughly plan out the places to visit and then called Koshy to fill in the rest- hotels, taxis, flights and trains. I was amazed with his knowledge and his promptness even when working across eleven time-zones. Truly, a journey of ten-thousand miles begins with one step and a great travel agent! If you are planning to visit India- I highly recommend Koshy George at Landmark Holidays. Koshy is one of those travel agents who will work hard to offer you the best value for your money, ensure you have a great experience and work with you to either create a plan from scratch or fine tune one you've already started. Trust is a big factor when dealing with someone thousands of miles away, and you can absolutely trust Koshy.
Why? For the following reasons:
A good night sleep at every hotel- If he wouldn't stay at a hotel himself, he won't offer it to you. He takes the time and the effort to visit the hotels and experience their quality and service before recommending it to his clients. Quality, staff, service and ambiance of the hotels recommended by him were fantastic!
He has great suggestions- He understands the importance in travel of knowing what to expect before you get there. Hee will give you an unbiased and honest review and practical information. Infact, he advised us not to visit Lakshadweep in June due to extreme heat and heavy rains. I was annoyed at first but really glad that he steered us away from making a costly mistake.
Same price down to Rupee- In the age of Internet, he expects you to shop around for your own flights, surface transfers, sight seeing etc. Sometimes this can take time so, to assist you, he has already researched the best possible options for each destination. His charges for the hotels, taxis, flights and trains are the same down to the rupee as you'd get from the Internet. His service fee was 1500 Rupees- mere 30USD. So, save your time and let him do all the work.
It's all about the relationship- Koshy views a transaction as a start of a lasting relationship. Everything he does, strengthens the relationship. This is very refreshing since a vast majority of travel agents have a very transactional view of their clients. Rightly so, because most people can afford to take overseas vacations once every few years, and they hope to maximize their revenue and profits in that one transaction. Koshy on the other hand, has a longer term view of his business and his clients. Even if you take a vacation every five years, he'd work hard to earn that repeat business knowing that it may be many years away.
